Welcome to CLC
The Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) is destined to become a model of excellence that provides high quality childcare and meaningful educational experiences for children, families and caregivers, college students, and senior citizens. Construction of CLC is the first phase of a larger project called an Intergenerational Learning Center that will include senior living facilities to be constructed adjacent to the CLC location on Hensel Drive in College Station. CLC will collaborate and provide activities for children and senior citizens to build social-emotional relationships, encourage language development, and provide mentoring and research opportunities between CLC and various departments of study within Texas A&M University.
Safety Matters! COVID-19 Precautions
We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff. We are implementing all CDC recommendations and guidelines including supplying masks, hand sanitizer and performing temperature checks for anyone entering the building. Please contact us to learn more about how we are preventing COVID-19.
CLC is the first of five buildings that will be constructed as part of the Texas A&M Intergenerational Learning Center. The vision is to combine services for children and families and senior citizens by coordinating activities with TAMU students and faculty, local educators to provide quality care, and educational and health services.
We are now accepting applications for enrollment for preschool children ages 2.6-6.0 years.
The preschool curriculum implemented at TAMU CLC is named Ready to Advance (RTA). RTA is a comprehensive early learning program that includes instructional support and teacher resources that blend social-emotional and play-based experiences with academic learning.
The Intergenerational Learning Center and Collaborative Learning Center is destined to become a model of excellence, demonstrating effective methods for high quality teaching and learning, effective techniques to address diverse needs, and provide onsite professional development and research to inform practice.
Share about your needs or ask questions about our Collaborative Learning Center and one of our team members will contact you.
